First Corinthians 13 is affectionately called The Love Chapter by
all those that love our Lord & Maker. Our message at church
this morning was on this chapter... it gave me lots to glean from
and much to work on in my life...
But what is love we may ask?
Though we may be treated unfairly and even cruelly, Charity suffereth long and is kind in return.
Though all evil may abound around us, Charity envieth not after the things of the world.
Though we do our share and yet stand in the back corner to not be seen, Charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up and looking for self glory.
Though our angers rage within because of hurts and mistreating's, Charity doth not behave itself unseemly and hurt in return.
Though there may be exclaims for others over what we have done, Charity seeketh not her own but rejoices for those praised.
Though the devil himself may seek whom he can devour, Charity is not easily provoked and does not repay evil for evil.
Though we may be misjudged and misused, Charity thinketh no evil on those accusers.
Charity rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth because the truth shall make us free.
Charity beareth all things when things seem unbearable.
Charity believeth all things because His word is true and we can do all things through Christ which strengthenth us.
Charity hopeth all things when all seems hopeless.
Charity endureth all things because of He who died on the cross for us.
Charity never faileth... because God Is Love!
